When we were in Rio we saw some awesome live music, especially samba bands. Walking down the street you could hear live music floating out of all sorts of bars and restaurants– it was amazing to have so many choices. I’m hoping I’ll discover a live music scene somewhere in Curitiba!
Anyways, Seu Jorge, one of the Brazilian musicians you might be familiar with from his music in the movie The Life Aquatic, is still quite popular here. However, the mellow melodies he’s known for on that soundtrack are not his most played here– he seems to be more known for upbeat samba tunes.
